Today InCS hosted a faculty-student discussion on DEI climate and culture in the Department of Chemistry at UW. A huge thanks to our faculty participants Al Nelson, Dianne Xiao, and Diana Knight. 

I did a lot of the organizing for this event and I’m hoping to hold a second discussion student-to-student, where we can hear students unfiltered opinions and learn from each other’s experiences how to best foster discussion and change within our individual lab groups and the  department as a whole.
